Eben
I was born in Cape Town, South Africa but my parents moved to Mossel Bay on the Garden Route when I was 2 years old. I spent my teenage years on the beaches of the Southern Cape and my young adult life in Stellenbosch and Cape Town - windsurfing almost daily for nearly 6 years! I moved to the USA in 1990, met Carol and we married soon after.
We now reside in Troutville, VA from where we oversee our various business interests in Africa and North America:

Carol
I grew up in the Roanoke area of Virginia, USA with fond memories of the Shenandoah Valley and the Blueridge. Graduate studies took me to Tennessee and the Florida panhandle before I moved to Northern Virginia where I met Eben.
I fell in love with Africa in the early 90s when I visited Eben's family for the first time. Nowadays we try to spend as much time as possible in Africa!
Carol is an accomplished composer/songwriter. She composed and arranged the original score for the 2-hour DVD production, "Kilimanjaro - The Way It Is" - winner of four Telly™ Awards in 2005! The DVD is available at amazon.com.

In memory of or beloved Cappuccino (Cappy) : 1995 - 2008
He was born in Reston VA but spent most of his life on the water in the Chesapeake Bay area. He was a Papillion who loved to sail. An avid Washington Redskins fan, he wore his Skins sweater every winter. He liked rugby too and got up very early on Saturdays with his daddy to watch the Springboks play on cable TV. He had many cousins in South Africa and Tanzania but never learned to speak Afrikaans or KiSwahili! He loved to travel and spent his final summer traveling to Canada and Maine.
