Five volcanoes - Karisimbi (4,507m), Bisoke (3,711m), Sabyinyo (3,634m), Gahinga (3,474m) and Muhabura (4,127m) - make a chain which covers an area of 16000ha.

Susa - 38

It is a long drive of  32 km from the office to the parking areas and it takes about an hour. It is easier (better roads) to drive via Ruhengeri than to use the short cuts over very bad roads.

Amahoro - 15

Most of the drive of  16 km from the office to the parking areas are over very good roads and it takes about 45 minutes. The last 2.5km is very rough and you may have to walk a bit further if your driver cannot (or is unwilling to) reach the parking area.

Umubano - 8
