Suyan (Maasai for wild dog) is a seasonal tented camp.
Together with Sayari and Olakira, the three sets of seasonal
camps move around the Serengeti eco-system to optimize the
game-viewing experience.
Suyan is
located in private concession areas in the Loliondo area, bordering
the Serengeti to the east. Tanzanian national parks don’t have fences,
and therefore the concentrations of wildlife in the concession areas
can be very high. The advantages of being in a concession area are the
privacy and the additional opportunities it gives to bring adventure
into the safari: walking safaris, night drives, cultural experiences
with the Maasai and nights of private light-weight camping can be
undertaken from the camp. Game drives can be done both inside and
outside the Serengeti NP.
Suyan Camp’s 5 luxurious,
spacious tents are located in a way that you can enjoy the amazing
landscape surrounding the Serengeti- from your private veranda. All
tents are beautifully designed and have excellent bathroom facilities.
