Located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and a few hundred meters from the crater rim, the Rhino Lodge offers quality and affordable accommodation in a spectacular setting. Its location is very convenient being the first lodge as one enters the Ngorongoro Conservation Area from Karatu Gate.

The lodge has 24 rooms, each able to accommodate two people, with an optional third bed. The rooms have simple furniture, en suite bathrooms, with a hot shower. Each room has its own verandah where guests can relax and be absorbed in the dense green forest surroundings.

At the lodge, guests - including self driving guests - are able to hire a 4WD car for game drives into the crater. For a ‘closer to nature’ experience, walking safaris are also available with a Maasai ranger. Guests may also take part in daily cultural activities by visiting the Maasai bomas in the local community nearby.
