HOME

Lemala Ngorongoro is an intimate camp on the rim of the crater offering luxury accommodation under canvas in large spacious tents with wooden platform and rugs.

Each tent has 2 large single beds or a king size double bed with thick duvets for warmth and comfort, a heater to warm the tent, and a private bathroom that includes a dressing area, flush toilet, shower and basin with running water. There are only 8 tents in the private concession to ensure privacy and seclusion.

The mess area is beautifully furnished with grand sofas, lamps, book and corner cabinets in old wood, chests and rugs. Meals are served al fresco or inside the mess and all guests are invited to sit together with their guides at dinner time.

The spacious and well-appointed dining/lounge tent
Our favorite moment is always sundowner time

The lounge
Meal time is an elegant yet informal event
In the Highlands a heater is very necessary and welcoming
The tents are a bit close to each other due to the small size of the camp site

The solar lighting is bright for reading and romantic and the same time
The gas heater is a big surprise and solves the problem of the cold NCA Highlands
Hot water bottles await in the comfortable bed!
The tents are spacious and very well designed
The dressing area. Note the bathrobes, the shower and the running water (cold) in the basin
The lighting is good enough for make-up and makes even inserting contact lenses a breeze
AL  the comforts of home - a normal flushing toilet
Note the wood floor and storage lockers (bring a small lock)
The family tent has a verandah with two sleeper seats

The two seats are actually sleeper seats - great for kids
