Governors' Bush Camp

At Governors’ Camp they are constantly striving to introduce new and exciting activities for today’s more discerning clients. They have been conducting walking safaris with experienced guides for some years and are now combining this with the option of staying in their Bush Camp.

There is nowhere like the Masai Mara ~ one of the world’s last remaining preserved animal wildernesses. The thrill of seeing Big game on foot, the excitement of face to face encounters with small animals and the details of insect and plant life combine perfectly with the magic moments of dining and showering under the stars and sleeping in your own traditional mobile camp are real untamed Africa.

Patrick Reynolds, who has many years of walking safari experience in the African Bush, leads the walks. Clients are secure in the hands of one of Africa’s most experienced walking safari guides. Bernard or Jackson, the two delightful Maasai Scouts, whose rich cultural background has enabled them to live alongside the game in harmony for centuries, accompany the walks. Their intimate knowledge on the flora and fauna of the area, the medicinal properties of the plants and their knowledge of Maasai culture and customs enhance the walking safari experience.

Governors’ Bush Camp has 4 double tents with ensuite bathrooms and here all the traditions of the bush ~ mouthwatering meals, all facilities under canvas, a nightly campfire, freshly made bread, all creature comforts and falling asleep to the Sounds of Africa complete the safari experience.

Governors’ Bush Camp fulfills the discerning and adventurous travelers clamor for knowledge and life changing experience in surroundings beyond the reach of modern day stresses.
