The Royal Mara
has six luxury, spacious, guest suites situated with river frontage
which have flush toilets, bidets, twin basins, luxury showers, hot
water, electricity and telephone service. All river guest suites have
luxury hand carved furnishings, elegant linen, lush towels, bathrobes,
slippers, toiletries, and four poster beds (one super king or two
doubles; additional bedding added if desired) and are supplied with
umbrellas, raincoats, and insect repellent. They also have Maasai
carpeting, colonial antiques, and African artifacts and include a
wardrobe armoire cabinet, a writing desk, a safe deposit box, a mini
bar stocked with complimentary drinks and an internal sitting area.
A personal
butler is assigned to each river guest suite and daily house keeping
is provided.
River guest
suites are on raised decks with private river frontage verandas
equipped with chaises longes and dining seating. Each river
accommodation has a total area of 110 square meters consisting of a
sleeping area (36 sqm), a bath facility (22 sqm) and a veranda (52 sqm).
Complimentary
daily laundry and valet service is provided. River guest suite
pathways are illuminated for the convenience of guests.
Unlimited al
fresco dining, buffet breakfasts and barbecue lunches are available in
the lodge's dining area or along the Mara River in combination with
picnic lunches, open savannah luncheons, boma fire-lit dinners, and
private dining on guest’s accommodation verandas. All meals are
included in the rate.
The menu changes
daily and features international cuisine. All meals are prepared with
fresh produce and all bakery items and desserts are prepared daily.
Soft drinks,
bottled drinking water and fruit drinks are complimentary. Limited
house wines, local beers and spirits are also complimentary. Brand
spirits, imported beers and champagnes are available at a
supplementary cost. A fully stocked mini bar can be found in all guest
suites.
